Before you are told of the adventure that awaits the young sam, we should first start off with how his life was, prior to the fall of beacon.
This will hopefully explain his coming actions.
And what path he had taken.
Journal Entry 6
Lately I’ve had disturbing dreams. My dreams no longer follow a proper path, more of a complicated webs of ‘what ifs’ , scenarios that I have never taken part in have assaulted my dreams, battles and wars rage, with me in the thick of them. Each one is as blurry and disturbing as the last, but always at the end I see something in the horizon, A massive ‘tower’ looms over the battlefield it is made of a black substance, and what I assume is human flesh. Above it looms a ‘ball’ a void slowly forming over it.
At the end of each dream I see it, even if I do not win the battle, I see it when I close my eyes.
What could it mean?

“Sam.” A voice tugged at sam's consciousness. He did not realize it but a smile formed along his lips as he mumbled something in his sleep.
The voice was comforting for the boy.
It managed to provide a sense of warm familiarity that he needed after the recurring nightmares that he was no longer a stranger to.
Slowly his eyes opened as he propped himself upward using one of his elbows to look up at his usual early morning visitor.
This person is.
